LOS ANGELES, California -- Championship Gaming Series (CGS), the only worldwide professional gaming league, is proud to announce the Individual World Championships, a supplementary tournament to the World Final that pits the league’s top performers against in each other in a head to head format to determine which player is the best at his or her specific game.

The tournament boasts a $50,000 prize purse split amongst the league’s official titles including Dead or Alive 4, Project Gotham Racing 3, FIFA 07, and Counter-Strike: Source.

1st DOA4 Men's $5,000
1st DOA4 Women's $5,000
1st PGR3 (x2) $5,000
1st FIFA 07 $5,000
1st CS:S (x5) $5,000

The preliminary round of the tournament has already concluded, with the top European players facing off against the UK’s best to determine who would advance into the final bracket. Making the cut are Berlin Allianz’s CS:S team and DOA: Men’s player THE_TACTICAL, Stockholm’s DOA: Women’s player MISS, London’s FIFA 07 player ChrisyB and Birmingham’s PGR3 duo Daveyskills and Neojake. Joining them will be representatives from North America, Latin America and Pan-Asia.

The remaining rounds of the tournament begin on December 9th at 12:30PM at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. The action will be streamed live on the web exclusively here at TheCGS.com.
